7th Annual ChEGSA Research Symposium

ChEGSA has hosted a research symposiums each spring to showcase ongoing research within Texas A&M University and to exchange ideas crucial to the advancement of science and technology. This symposium serves as a platform for graduate students to exchange ideas and foster deep, long-lasting connections with industrial representatives, and for industrial participants to recruit students for a potential internship and/or full-time position.

The Research Symposium will also be an opportunity to showcase your research through oral and poster presentation on a variety of themes:

For each of the oral and poster presentations, the top three presenters will be recognized and awarded.
Past Symposiums
The one-day event included oral and poster presentations covering a variety of topics: process safety, process design, optimization, reaction engineering, systems biology, material science, nanotechnology and microelectronics.

The Symposium witnessed representatives from companies such as The Dow Chemical Company, Chevron, Shell, BASF, INEOS, Kaneka Foundation, Axalta, Schlumberger, Exxon Mobil, Lynntech, Bryan Research & Engineering, Wood Group, and Phillips 66.
The generous sponsorship provided by the aforementioned companies as well as The Dwight Look College of Engineering and Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering was a key to the success of the Symposium. We would also like to give special thanks to Dr. Joe Powell from Shell and Dr. James Harris from Texas A&M University for their generous donations.
First ever research symposium was held by ChEGSA on April 4th, 2014. The event was attended by 140 students, faculty, and industrial representatives.
